1515 Walnut
The lower level of the existing structure was converted into a parking garage for the tenants of six apartments that were added on the 7,800 square feet second floor, each with its own balcony. The apartments were designed with an industrial feel, with the original concrete floors and ceiling exposed. An elevator was added to access the two original floors as well as the 2,800 square feet penthouse that was constructed for the owner. The penthouse features modern architecture with an Ipe deck that overlooks Walnut Street and downtown. A solar array was installed on the roof of the structure to provide power to the entire building. At the street level of the building, two retail spaces were added. Storefront doors were added at the Walnut Street entrance and all windows were replaced for the building. The security system for the building includes integrated access control for the retail spaces, apartments, and penthouse.
